SLEEP TECHNICIAN 3 -Harvard, IL or Lake Geneva WI

This position could be located in either Harvard, Illinois Sleep Center or Mercy Walworth Sleep Center in Lake Geneva, WI depending on candidate preference. JOB SUMMARY ##Provides training and leadership to junior personnel.# Helps plan and develop educational programs. Cleans equipment and supplies.# Conducts sleep studies and scoring by performing the following duties. # ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES # # Measures patient#s head and other body parts and marks points where electrodes are to be placed.# # # Attaches electrodes to predetermined locations, and verifies functioning of electrodes and recording instrument.# # # Operates recording instruments (Digital Sleep System, Video Recording) and supplemental equipment and chooses settings for optimal viewing. # # # Records montage (electrode combination) and instrument settings, and observes and notes patient#s behavior during test.# Conducts PSG, Titrations, and MSLT testing. # # Writes detailed technical reports summarizing testing and results to assist Physician.# # # Keeps detailed log of patient#s actions during testing.# # # Performs computerized scoring. # # While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to handle, finger, feel, climb, and balance. The employee must frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. A.), in Respiratory Care or Electroneurodiagnmostics, or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. # CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE #################################################### BRPT Registry required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
