Unit Clerk CNA

JOB SUMMARY Prepares records, processes orders and provides patient care in the hospital setting, supporting the nursing philosophy. May include weekends, holidays, day, evening, night, and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned. # ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES # Processes orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner. Answers the telephone and call lights in an appropriate and timely manner, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff. Directs visitors to patients# rooms. Maintains medical records of current patients. Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking, and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies. Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures. Documents care provided according to standards. Maintains a clean work and patient environment. Floats to various units based on identified needs. Advanced CNA program preferred. Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training (which can be provided). # CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE ########################################### Nursing Assistant Certification in applicable state. Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days. # ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Passing the Driver#s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring) Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or Illinois Health Care Workers Background Check Must be able to follow written/oral instructions. CNAS are an important part of patient care and maintaining safety on the medical unit. Without this FTE patient care may suffer due to inadequate staff to patient ratios

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
